Frame adjustments

In this photo you will see what almost looks like a nice, elegant Harley neck that was cut right off by some retard. Well you're seeing it right. As I thought more about it, I realized that the Harley neck was not going to achieve the look I was shooting for, nor was it going to allow me enough clearance to make the bike fully ridable. So I have decided I am going to machine my own neck and place it 2 inches forward and one inch higher then where the Harley neck was. I will be giving the down tubes a goose neck effect as well. Keep posted next week I will probably have the process done. Also I will be making my own front end now which I am very excited to do with the help of Lock. It will be bitchen!

Screen

I decided to add some screen to the holes I put in my front drum backing plate. Simply because when you're riding down the road there is nothing to stop gravel and small pebbles from jumping right up into your braking system. The screen is copper screen antiqued to give it a nice look, I also did the same affect to the washers next to each of the holes.

Waiting...

The last week or so there has not been much to post about around the shop. My wheels and hubs are off getting plated, I can't do anything else until the bike is a roller. Mean while, Lock and I have been working extensively on a few business proposals. Stay tuned in the next few weeks to see if it all pans out. It is starting to get cold on the East Coast and I don't like it, it reminds me too much of home back in the Midwest. I am ready for winter to come and go, the faster the better. I will be going back home for a few weeks over Christmas, hopefully I can post a picture of a roller before I get on a plane. It is all on the other guys at this point.

Both front and rear hubs are now complete

I don't know what it is about fabrication. Once you know how you just want to change everything ;) I felt guilty about just buying these drums and lacing them to a couple of wheels... I had to do something!

Front hub

So I decided I wanted to concentrate on some areas that typically get over looked, like the "hubs". There is 3 days worth of work in that little guy. Next it is off to the plater. Stay tuned in the next day or two I will be doing the rear :)
